Be sure to check out our Mansfield Township Recreation Facebook page
Hello everybody! My name is Connor Howard. I am working towards the rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 45 of Columbus, NJ. If you are not aware, to become an Eagle Scout, you must, "plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project helpful to any religious institution, any school,
or your community. (The project must benefit an organization other than Boy Scouting.) A project proposal must be approved by
the organization benefiting from the effort, your unit leader and unit committee, and the council or district before you start." (Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook). My Eagle Scout project is to install flagpoles near the ballparks in the Mansfield Community Park in Columbus, and Mansfield-Georgetown Park in Mapleton. This project will allow all youth ballplayers to hear the national anthem and recite the pledge of allegiance before every game of America's pasttime, as well as having the community show pride in our country, and serving as a reminder of every citizen's duty to the country. The pictures above are the areas that these flagpoles will be installed in.
Funds will be raised through this GoFundMe, in addition to other methods. For more information on these methods for this project, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. All funds raised will be used for materials, supplies, and other needs for this project. Any excess funds will be given to the beneficiary of this project, the Mansfield Township Recreational Committee, to further benefit the youth sports teams.
I am hoping this project will be completed by May 1st. I have already received approval of this project from the Mansfield Township Recreational Committee, Mansfield Township Committee, and the Garden State Council of the Boy Scouts of America. It would be appreciated if you could donate any amount of money toward this project. If you subscribe to my YouTube channel, I am planning on posting updates to this project. The link is https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvnrsTF-upBLxP7h75rPBNQ.
All donors who donate $100 will receive a form of recognition at the site of the flagpole.
Thank you very much.
